Help for SEVER Gastroparesis....?

Sorry to hear about your Aunt's problems. Gastroparesis is caused by a malfunction of the nerves and/ or muscles of the stomach. If your Aunt has diabetes this may be the source of the original problem. If the problem started after abdominal surgery, it is possible that a nerve was damaged during the surgery. Constant diarrhea would indicate that she is not tolerating the food which is being sent down her feeding tube. A change of formula might help.I don't know where you live, but your best bet for help would be at a major medical center (ie, the Cleveland Clinic or the Mayo Clinic).
